  • 1,2kg Spaghetti (you can also use a different kind of pasta :))


  • 20 Tomatos (mid-sized (equals about 2kg))
  • 2 Onions
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Oil (e.g. Olive Oil)
  • Seasonings (Basil, Oregano)


  • Cheese (Parmesan / grated)



  • Cutting Boards
  • Knives
  • Big Pot to boil Pasta

  • Deep Pan / Pot for Sauce

Good to know

  • Make sure to use egg-free pasta so this is a vegan-dish.

Interesting facts

The world record for largest bowl of spaghetti was set in March 2009 and reset in March 2010 when a Buca di Beppo restaurant in Garden Grove, California, successfully filled a swimming pool with more than 13,780 pounds (6,251 kg) of pasta. (


Step 1
Get a big pot and put Water in it. Add a bit of Salt (about 2 Teaspoons) and put it to a boil.
Step 2
When the pasta-water starts to boil but the spaghetti in it and keep boiling for about 10min (depending on which kind of spaghetti you are cooking)
Step 3
Cut onions + garlic into small pieces
Step 4
Heat oil in a pan, add the onions and garlic
Step 5
Fry the onions and garlic, until they are a bit brown
Step 6
Add the tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, other herbs
